Hook

I can tell who's going to blow up on social media by identifying these three things. If you're creating content and you feel like no matter what you do, you're still in the same place, get out your notebook. Number one, they have a clear POV. If you don't know what POV is, my guy, you're a social media I'm scared for you. It is point of view. They have a clear point of view. There is no question what their opinions are. And let's not confuse tips from opinions. So for example, anybody can have tips, but you have to have opinions with the tips. Because anyone can say 3+3 is 6, but you have to have something that people can identify. This is her way of thinking. This is his way of thinking. People have to share opinions and not instructions. It can't always be a here's how you do, here's how I do. It it has to be something more. Number two, they create a signature format. I've talked about this several times in different ways, but I will again. One series, one theme, one look that is recognizable unto the public. This is the brand's memory. This is how people are remembering the brand. If you don't make a consistency of video format, you we don't know what to expect from you. We don't know what's next. We don't know what to associate with you because brand associations are how people understand who these people are. Last one, they obsess over their audience's problems, needs, and desires. They are not trying to make content for everyone. The biggest downfall that you can have is saying, oh, my content's just for everyone. It's a little bit of everything and no. In real life, do you befriend everyone? Is everyone attracted to you? Does everyone want to be your friend? Probably not. So it's like you cannot expect the same thing from people online. And if you try to cater the content to fit everyone online, nobody knows who you are. So if you can do those three things and master them, not do the surface level work, actually master them, you will have no issue with blowing up on social media.
