The UK's biggest solar eclipse in almost 30 years is just weeks away🌘 On August 12, the Moon will cover around 90% of the Sun for some of the UK, making it the deepest partial solar eclipse visible from Britain since 1999. The event will begin in the early evening, with the maximum eclipse occurring just after 7pm BST (timings vary depending on where you are). Unlike a total solar eclipse, the sky won't go completely dark, but daylight will noticeably dim. Experts are reminding everyone to never look directly at the Sun without certified eclipse glasses or other safe viewing equipment, as doing so can permanently damage your eyesight. #SolarEclipse #Space #Astronomy #ScienceNews #UK
