Hook
3 guys you don't wanna be in your 20s. I guarantee as I talk you through this list, you're gonna think about your friend group and you're gonna be like, yeah, that guy sucks. These are little things you can tweak in your personality to be vastly more like and things to avoid. If you notice any of these in yourself, the good thing is you can just change it. Number one, the guy who always complains. Life in your early 20s is gonna be fucking difficult. Your job, you're just getting absolutely crunched by everyone above you. Socially, you might feel the exact same way. You're lonely, you don't have any of the status you had in college, but particularly around work, notice your friends that just never have anything good to say about their job. You might fucking hate your job, but you get the winner energy you're looking for by just trying your hardest way you're at. If you don't complain your way out of a shitty situation, you shine and dominate and do so well that the universe cannot help but bless you. You'll have such good energy on the train, some dudes gonna see you in your button down and you're the chief of staff in your company. You learned your industry so well, you can't help but get promoted. In corporate jobs, no one is really trying that hard. Don't be the guy who just complains about his job. Be the guy who wins at his job or at least tries. Don't be the big idea guy that never follows through. Bro, we should make the next Pinterest for Uber but make it Apple themed and like super minimalist. It's good to be a big idea guy, all right? But you're gonna be the boy who cried wolf pretty fucking fast. If you got all these schemes, never see anything through. Biggest risk in your 20s is not taking any risks. So it's fucking awesome. You have these ideas, go try one. It's okay to fail, but you'll notice after a while with your friends that always have these big hair brain schemes and never do anything about it. Eventually you stop listening. So don't be the guy who complains about his job. Be the guy who wins at his job. Be the guy that follows through or at least tries. Number three, don't be the guy that never tries. That non-chalant shit that I don't give a fuck about anything, right? Like we thought that was cool in college. Okay. Be humble enough to look like a complete dumbass. Just try something. It's super cool. I feel like when we were younger, that persona of just kind of being better than everything and not trying at all, it's like we didn't have the awareness to see through it. And now it's just so painstakingly obvious. Like, bro, you're afraid. There's tasteful, non-chalant, and then there's just being on the sidelines of life because you're afraid of playing the game. Like, only one go. Overarching theme would be appreciating what's right in front of you and doing some shit, just trying. Treating people right along the way, making a whole bunch of memories and your 20s are gonna be this magical freaking period of your life and one of these risks is gonna pay off. You're gonna have a ridiculous amount of leverage in your late 20s over the people that didn't try and that gap is going to exponentially grow. And you're gonna be happy you did. Follow through.
