here's the more things that you could only understand if you're an only child part 10! eating I'm running out of things to talk about in these videos so comment down below if you have some only child things that I haven't covered first, the first thing for this video is being able to work alone better than other people in group settings or productivity contexts. I think this is especially noticeable in earlier ages through k through 12 because a lot of people will rely on their siblings after school to help them or just really enjoy group projects because they're used to collaborating in group things, whereas only children have never had that. We've never had to be a team player for daily activities. We've been able to do them by ourselves. We're just hyper independent from an early age relative to other people. I think working alone is a lot easier for us, whereas group projects might not be the easiest thing in the world for us to really wrap our heads around if that makes sense. Okay, the second thing, I think we have less patience with people our age because we are oftentimes emotionally intelligent at an earlier age, we develop just a little bit faster. Don't get mad saying this, the studies literally back this up. You're have if you have siblings or if you think way smarter than all your siblings, good for you. I don't know, but a lot of the times we have higher vocabularies at earlier ages, more ability to articulate and compile our thoughts into understandable contexts for other people at ages. And often also efficient at that. We don't take a long time to explain ourselves. So, I feel like we have a lot of impatient people who are slower than us. I also would be really interested about oldest sibling about that, because I think that oldest siblings are often pressured by their parents to work really fast. Would different with this development in this way. Again, I'm not trying to hate on other people. I just know that as an only child, I used to get really frustrated watching people be slow at, like popcorn reading or get my peers that were friends of mine when they couldn't explain themselves and I was just like, just talk. And looking back on that, that's kind of insensitive. But it's true. We are more impatient, the the last thing that I wanna talk about in this video is breakups can feel like losing family. I've talked about this in other episodes of the series where we put so much more emphasis on our friendships because we have to choose the people that are supposed to be permanent figures in our lives instead of being born permanent figures are in our lives. And because we care so much about friendships, when those friendships break up, when those friendships break, it can feel so much worse for us because we're losing just a friend. We're losing one of the most people constant people. We're losing constant relationship. A friendship breakup might suck for someone who has a twin sibling or to someone that's close in age to them. But at the end of the day, they will always have their sibling to have back. And we don't have any peers to fall back on. Always, nothing in this video is meant to be hate. It's all my opinion. And you should take what resonates and leave what doesn't. I'll see you in the next one. Bye.
