Taking a step back financially to take a step forward in your career. You don't always take a discount to be in the right environment. When I got my job offer at Kleiner Perkins, 17, 19 years ago, it was actually a pay cut. I was moving from Minneapolis to... I was actually doing fairly well there, and it was an area of expertise. But this was my shot at the big time. And when I joined Kleiner, I mean, you wouldn't believe the people that were there. They've all gone off and started their own funds. Good example, today I just saw Matt Murphy from Menlo Ventures on, uh, Harry Stebbings' podcast. I mean, Matt wrote the biggest check in D.A.N.C.E. He's always been a spectacular investor, one of my favorite guys from Kleiner Perkins, one of the most underrated runs in Menlo Ventures now, who's become a top five firm. I can give you so many examples from people who I work with there. But I did take a pay cut when I was young. I had to move my career off trajectory, I had to move locations in order for that to happen. You guys got to think about that stuff as you're building your careers wherever you are, entrepreneur or otherwise. Get in the right environments, around the right people. It pays benefits for decades.
