Moving away from feeding to sleep is a lot harder than moving away from rocking to sleep, in my experience anyway. And I think that if you move away from feeding to sleep, you need to lean into other your little one to make the bit easier. I mean. I have a whole fitting to sleep process, take a look in my previous post. But whenever families and say, move away from little one to fall asleep more independently. They think that get their little asleep independently straight away, but the case. The goal initially is that your just not fair to sleep. It is okay to lean on other ways little one fall asleep used to just not being fed. Because feeding to sleep is incredibly regulating to their nervous system. They also get a lovely big dose of melatonin. them at bedtime that away, it is harder to get themselves off to sleep. You need to lean in other ways, like to lean into rocking, walking, padding, because these things are also very regulating. Not as regulating but very regulating and very calming. And they activate the vestibular system, regulates the nervous system. Moving away from you have to sleep pressure is perfect. Moving away from feeding to sleep before not worked at all, and it has been an absolute shit show, it's probably because has not been right. And you really wanna give your little one another way to convince them to fall asleep, like rocking. established not falling asleep, being fed, then you can move away from rocking. Much, much, much, much, much easier to do.
