The difference between a true JDM version of the RX7 like this and a USDM RX7 means just a lot more than just a right-hand drive. Let's dive into it. Before I go into the differences, let me tell you exactly what's the same. People are asking, the shift pattern, the biggest difference, the engine. The Japanese models got 276 horsepower. The US models got a mere 255. The difference isn't huge. The engine, the transmission are the exact same. Tune is just different for emission standards. Non-US versions also came with no cruise control, which is kind of funny when you think about it. They're expecting the US to be so lazy to use cruise control in a 1990s Japanese supercar. I would never use it even if I had it. The Japanese model also came with rear fogs, something you see a lot on non-US versions and you never see on US versions. And lastly, of course, special edition variants that you couldn't get in the US. This specific RX7 is a '97 RSR, the 30th anniversary of the rotary engine. But in the US, of course, you didn't get any of the special editions. Same for the same 93-95 years. The craziest thing about this JDM right, price model. They were so rare in the US, people regardless find them for about the same price. So I think it's worth one guys. What do you guys think?
