Their other posts in the index, biggest breakout first.
5 specialties I would never go into. You cannot pay me enough money to do. The first being family med. Or maybe if they did get paid more, I don't know. But I just think family medicine doctors are some of the smartest, hardworking people and they do not get compensated appropriately. I just want to focus on one organ system and be able to target that during an appointment. The second is cardiology. Personally, I just can't read an EKG. I have tried so hard to get good at reading EKGs and for some reason, it will never stick for me. And the fact that I can't actually see the heart and see the vessels and like where things are going unless you pull out an ultrasound. That was always my weakest subject on board exams. Cards is just not my strength. The next would be orthopedic surgery. I think I've talked about this before, but like those people are lifting their whole shift. I would get so, so exhausted. I don't want to go to work and have to like get my workout in while I'm at work. The next would be Pulm / Critical Care. Maybe it goes along with the whole heart stuff. The fact I cannot actually see that organ and on top of that like any critical care ICU patients are just super sick. So it's also really, really sad. Okay, my last one I would have to say emergency medicine. Not because I don't love being in the ED. I actually really enjoy all the variety, all the unique interesting cases that you get to see. But I could not deal with their schedule. They are shifting between night shifts, day shifts, a weird afternoon shift. When I rotated on the ED, I was sick half the month because I just can't deal with switching around my schedule that much. All right, bye guys.
