I need a whole video to dedicate to this one bc 20 seconds doesn't do it justice. Follow me so you don't miss it. Coming in at number 5 we have Internal Medicine. As a nerd, I like having a lot of knowledge and internal medicine is one of the specialties where if you're on a plane, this is the doctor you want to look after you. You have to know a lot of stuff and there's crossover between the different specialties. So you have to have the knowledge of all of them, which I think is really cool. And you know, afterwards, right? Which is cool because it gives you extra time in residency to decide to do specifically. At number 4 we have Emergency Medicine. I've been watching an emergency medicine doctor and his lifestyle looks cool. Specialty. And this has influenced me a little bit. Secondly, the skill set of an emergency medicine doctor is really useful in war torn countries where they're looking for doctors to come and volunteer. One thing I absolutely will do at some point in life, inshallah, is offer free medical care to a country and people who don't have access. And I think emergency medicine is cool because that is something needed everywhere in the world, like Palestine where there's genocide happening. If I did EM, then I'd be able to offer there actually offer something right now. When you see, not three. The third is Pediatrics. I have little kids. The kids are cute and they're fun. They're always wearing that personality on their front. They don't hide it. If I helped a child at the age of five, seven, eight with a medical condition, you watch them go through their life benefiting from the help that you gave, which is so, so nice. That impact that must be insane. That's one of the things that makes me want to do Peds. Not to mention the environment. The hospitals are colorful, they've got drawings everywhere, windows, lighting, games, toys, that kind of thing. It's just a pleasant place to be, but it is also heartbreaking to see children go through sickness. But then again, you're helping them. So, hmm. Number two. We're getting into my favorite specialties. Neurology. The brain. The brain is the best organ in the body. I will fight anyone over that. It's better than the heart. Sorry cardiologists. But the brain is just so fascinating. We don't know anything about it. Like, we know a lot, but there's SO MUCH yet to uncover. The amount of times in med school I'd ask a question and they'd tell me, "We haven't discovered that yet." "This drug works, but we don't know how." And there's always new happening. It is the most fascinating part of research in my opinion. And we don't talk about it enough. The variety, the neuro transmitters, the physiology, the anatomy from the way I'm talking, I love the brain. It's also a good lifestyle. And number one, my all time favorite specialty that I'm obsessed with, I've been obsessed with since before medical school, even started, of course, is Over 10 years.
