Hook
The people that are gonna listen to me right now are the people that are actually serious about buying their own property and not getting intertwined with a boyfriend or a girlfriend. Even a husband. But everyone has their own limits and boundaries. Obviously, I'm someone that got stung. I would now buy my own home because I'm not gonna let a relationship break up mean that I lose my home and have to start over again. I also was in such a situation which I don't think is rare for a lot of women, but in a situation where I was in such emotional turmoil that I was being coerced, I was being manipulated. Uh, it was a unit. It wasn't just one person I was dealing with. And if anyone and tell me that that's not what actually unraveled, why would anyone leave a home with less than what they put into it unless they were up against the most toxic, awful environment that they just wanted to escape? Because that's my story. I didn't even get my deposit back, the full deposit of what I put into the house. I also paid half half the bills, half the mortgage. Like, it's disgusting. And that's why I'll sit here and I'll tell women, get your own house, put your own name on it. And bear in mind, I had a cohabitation agreement. My name is also on the property. So many people wanna make assumptions that I lived in and that's why I ended up with less. No. And guess now when I will do it, so I'll buy my own house, I don't have a first mover advantage, the buyer advantage. I will have to pay full, I don't get a stamp duty relief. It's a lot harder to do on your own. But to do it on your own without those benefits, the small benefits that the government actually provides first time buyers. Yeah. The man that did that to me, the man that did that to me, I still hold resentment because I have to work twice as hard. And not only that, but I helped him to get that house. Like, let me tell you, put the trust in yourself. If it's your home and it's a roof over your head, I don't care if you're both on a mortgage. I don't care if you both pay towards it. Get your own property, man. Just do your own thing. Just do your own thing. Why do we have to follow the system? I did it. I did. And I'm telling you, for anyone that's serious and has seen other people get stung, seen breakups to happen after a decade of being with each other, understand, understand that you can build something and it can come crumbling down. And yes, not every experience, but often when there's money and an asset involved, people move and act differently. And it's usually nasty.
