New mystery thriller series premieres tomorrow. This one looks really good and we need to talk about it. This one is called The Shards and it takes us back to 1980s Los Angeles where we follow a wealthy high school student whose picture perfect life begins to fall apart. A new student mysteriously shows up at the same time that a serial killer known as The Trawler is targeting teens across the city. This could be the work of a serial slayer known as The Trawler. As things get more intense, he gets pulled into this world of secrets, obsession and paranoia and he starts to wonder who he can actually trust. This one is produced by Ryan Murphy who gave us Glee, American Horror Story and the Monster anthology series on Netflix. It's also based on Bret Easton Ellis's bestselling novel The Shards, which I had not heard of but now I need to go read it. It's a spicy whodunit mystery drama thriller. So if you like series like that where you're trying to figure out who the killer is, I think this one is going to be really fun. It premieres tomorrow, Wednesday August 5th with two episodes dropping and then after that it will be weekly episodes with 10 episodes total. FX was awesome and sent me some goodies and so I have to share. First up is this keychain that says "Hot & Rich The Shards". And then I also got a book, but I cannot hold this and flip through it while holding my mic and so I'm going to give it its own little showcase. So. This takes me back to the magazine.
