"Things you need to pack if you're going to Italy"

If you're going to Italy make sure you pack these items. Number one, a European power converter. So this is actually an adapter that you're gonna have to plug into the wall because they have different outlets over there. Then you'll be able to actually plug in your appliances and your chargers. I got this off Amazon. I like this one because it's actually four outlets. This is the main one, then you have one at the top, one on the side and one on the other side. And then you have a USB and a USB C port as well. Related to the outlets, I don't think you should actually be bringing any hair tools to Europe. But if you are, you need to make sure that they're dual voltage. So this is my wavy talk and this is actually what I bring when I go abroad and you can actually get this on the TikTok shop. And if you look at the label, it says that it takes up to 240 and 120 V, which means that it can withstand both US and European voltages because if you plug in your regular straightener into essentially this that's plugged into the European outlet, you're just gonna fry the whole place down. Third, you need an insulated water bottle. So this one's my favorite. It is a Brita and I like this one because it actually comes with a built-in filter, especially in Rome, there are fountains everywhere where you could fill up your water bottle and the water comes out cold. So although you could buy a cheap plastic water bottle and keep refilling it, you're not gonna maintain the coldness and we all know Europeans do not like ice. And actually some of the fountains they have over, you can actually pick between still and sparkling water. You need a backpack, but in my opinion, not just in terms of an everyday backpack you can walk around and sightsee with. I really like this one. It's compact, so I can fold it up and I can fit this in basically my carry-on or my personal item and it opens up like this and in here I can easily fit a whole water bottle, um my wallet, my passport if I need to, literally anything. And I personally like that it has a zipper and it has a button. So I can very easily put this on my back and I know nobody's gonna be getting into it. Pickpockets in Italy.. What we are trying to avoid... Related to things you should be adding it, it is a fan. You really should bring a rechargeable fan to your Italian vacation. It is so hot over there, believe me, trust me, you will not regret this. Another backpack, but my suggestion as a carry-on, I personally like the BEIS backpack. The main reason why I like this is because of the way that it opens all the way through. So I can literally almost use this as a mini suitcase and I can fit so much clothes in here. Now, this is the older model. They just came out with a new one and the new backpack is basically fixing my two biggest complaints of this backpack, which is the material. I throw this thing on the floor everywhere, so this canvas tends to get really dirty. And they also fix the water bottle holder, an elastic band so you could stretch it out and fit a lot more. So I definitely think this is a great investment piece and the perfect carry-on backpack if you're going to Italy. Then I suggest that you pack an antibacterial bar soap. I am always getting sick when I go abroad, but once I started actually bathing with an antibacterial soap, I really don't get sick as often. You're out there every single day around so many different kinds of people in large crowds. If you come home at the end of the day and you're bathing with an antibacterial soap, it's probably the best way to reduce your chances of getting sick while on vacation. And the last thing you should pack is actually cash. And I mean euros. My suggestion is that you actually order your euros with your local bank. You usually get a better rate instead of waiting to you get to Europe and exchanging cash there or using an ATM in Europe. If you have a big bank like Bank of America or Chase, it's really easy. You could just order on the app, you could usually get it shipped to your house within two days or you could pick it up at a local branch. But I highly recommend you order your euros ahead.
