A Virginia school board allegedly rewrote its rules repeatedly to keep middle school students from forming an LGBTQ+ club. Other clubs were allowed to continue, including the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and an outdoor club where students reportedly make fishing lures and skin squirrels. But LGBTQ+ students wanting a safe place to make friends was somehow considered too controversial. Now two families are suing the district in federal court. This was never about protecting children. It was about forcing LGBTQ+ children back into silence. #LGBTQ #LGBTQYouth #Virginia #PublicSchools #CivilRights
