Send me a message with the word “COMPLEX” and I’ll send you a FREE week of kettlebell training from my 8-week program. If you’re over 30, this complex is for you. One of the first physical qualities we lose as we age isn’t strength. It’s power—your ability to produce force quickly. Power is what helps you: * Sprint after your kids. * Catch yourself before a stumble becomes a fall. * Throw a heavy bag into the truck without a second thought. * Jump, change direction, and move with confidence. * Get down on the floor to play… and get back up without feeling old. The good news? Power is trainable. 20-Minute AMRAP * 10 Sumo Squat + Pullovers * 10 High Pulls * 10 American Swings * 10 Thrusters I used a 20 kg (44 lb) kettlebell. Weight Suggestions: * Beginner: 8–12 kg (18–26 lb) * Intermediate: 12–16 kg (26–35 lb) * Advanced: 20–24 kg (44–53 lb) Coaching Cues • Sumo Squat + Pullovers: Drive through your legs, then control the pullover. Build lower-body strength while improving shoulder mobility and teaching your body to transfer force from your legs to your upper body. • High Pulls: Power comes from your hips, not your arms. Keep the bell close and lead with your elbows to build explosive pulling strength, upper-back power, and grip. • American Swings: Hinge first. Explode through your hips. Let the kettlebell float overhead—don’t muscle it there. Finish with your ribs stacked and glutes squeezed to develop explosive power, overhead stability, and full-body coordination. • Thrusters: Squat first, then drive explosively into the press. This full-body movement recruits nearly every major muscle group, builds athletic power, and keeps your heart rate high. Rest as needed, but keep the timer running. This complex isn’t about chasing a pump. It’s about holding onto one of the most valuable athletic qualities you’ll ever have. Train to stay powerful. Train to stay athletic. Train for the life waiting outside the gym. Save this workout and let me know how many rounds you complete. Follow for more effective workouts to help you get lean, strong, athletic, and functional in 45 minutes or less. #functionalfitness #kettlebelltraining #kettlebellworkout #homeworkouts #power
