I just left my job and went full entrepreneur. You know what that means? Some months are amazing, some months are slow. You never know which one until it happens. That used to stress me out. And Monarch is a big reason why. Monarch is basically a budgeting app that actually makes sense. You can connect your accounts and it shows you everything in one place. What's coming in, what's going out, and where it's all going. I have money coming in from different places every month. Every single one shows up as its own line. So nothing gets lost. This is my favorite part. It's called a Sankey diagram. And before you scroll past it, it sounds complicated. It's not. It's literally draws a picture of your money where it came from, where it went. That's it. First time I saw mine, I was like, so that's where it's been going. I split everything into three buckets. The stuff that never changes, like rent and groceries. That varies. Like eating out and shopping. And the money I'm saving. I'm saving for later. Monarch keeps track of all three. So I'm not doing math in my head and guessing. And this is the part that I love. I set a savings goal inside. So every month, even when income is different, I'm still putting something away. Some months less, but always something.
