I paid off $12,000 of credit card debt on a teacher's salary. And again, I know it sounds impossible, but it can be done. And this didn't happen because I got a raise at work or a second job. It's because I had a system in place. So if you're on a debt free journey and you don't know where to start, I use Monarch. And let me show you this one feature that changed everything. The debt payoff feature allows you to see your potential debt free date and how the date can change when you add even just a small amount towards your payment. I know that with the teacher's salary, paying off your debt feels like an unattainable goal. Of course, we have our usual bills, but in addition to that, we have things that we have to pay for for our classroom. Might even be budgeting for the summer like I am, because I do not get paid in the month of July. But once you understand where your money is going and seeing that there is additional money that you can be putting towards your debt, you will become debt free. And it might take some time to find a system that works for you, but that's okay. And I know we didn't learn any of this in our credential program, but as we often say to our students, "Progress over perfection!"
