What I eat in a day as a fitness trainer. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day because it's relaxing and predictable. If you've been here for a while, you know I stick to similar breakfasts each day. Eggs give you high quality protein plus nutrients like choline, which support brain and nervous system function. Mixing whole eggs with egg whites is a nice way to get more protein without needing a ton of extra fat. Full Balanced Breakfast. 38g protein. This is one of my favorite ways to make pizza because the crust is literally oats and Greek yogurt. So you're getting complex carbs, some fiber, and protein before you even add the chicken and cheese. I typically avoid gluten and try to get more whole sources like oats, sweet potato, and Greek yogurt. People underestimate how important carbs are when you're training. So this is your reminder to eat more carbs. Pre-workout. I made a little strawberry cheesecake cottage cheese. It makes it really creamy but also adds a lot of protein and strawberries are high in vitamin C. I put it in the fridge for an hour. It tasted nice and refreshing, but still like cottage cheese. Cheesecake Cottage Cheese. 16g protein. Post Workout Smoothie. 30g protein. For post-workout, I had a refreshing smoothie that replenishes my glycogen stores and my protein. And lastly, for dinner, I had a loaded sweet potato. Sweet potatoes are so high in beta carotene, which your body converts into vitamin A. They're also a really good carb source.
