over 80k invested in the stock market but if I asked you to start all over again and if I asked you to start all over again with $1,000, here's exactly what I would do. First, we're gonna assume that you have already built an emergency fund that's gonna cover three to six months of expenses and that emergency fund better be in a high yield savings account. So taking care of that, I honestly would put all my money into VOO. VOO is an ETF that tracks the top 500 companies in the United States. I mean, we're talking about Costco, Nvidia, Microsoft, Apple. So basically, instead of buying one single company, you're buying 500 of them. Crazy thing is, you're buying 500 of them. One investment, you're getting exposure to 500 different companies. That's why I put $1,000 into VOO is because I don't want to overcomplicate my portfolio or my strategy. If this is the first time starting to invest, I don't think you need to buy six different ETFs or six different stocks. It's more important to build a solid foundation, continue to learn and invest consistently month after month. That's exactly what I would do if I had to start over with $1,000. Let me know in the comments what you would do if you had to start over with $1,000.
