It's recently come to my attention that a lot of people don't understand that there's a strategy around when you're taking time off. Let me put you on game on how to take 19 days of PTO to 56 days off for the year. The first holiday of 2027 is gonna be MLK Day. It happens on January 15th. You're gonna take January 18th off in order to take one day off into a four day weekend. During January, you're probably gonna wanna hit Mexico, which is very like warm and very cheap. Or as an alternative, if you don't wanna do Mexico, you can also do Costa Rica. It's peak dry season in Costa Rica during January, so you're gonna have a lot of fun. Do a lot of things. The second holiday that you wanna turn into a four day weekend is gonna be President's Day. President's Day next year is on February 15th. You're gonna add which is a Monday. You're gonna wanna take the Friday before that off, which is February 12th. And that allows you to take one day of PTO into a four day weekend. If I were you as somebody that's been to 35 countries and February, I'd probably be eyeing either Puerto Rico, which is very easy as we know to do on a long weekend. If you don't have a passport, it also works very easily for you. If you don't want to do Puerto Rico, there's also Iceland if you live on the East Coast. Very easy to do on a long weekend and there's a lot of like uh Aurora there. It's actually like prime Aurora season. It's a very short flight, very like doable flight. The next four day weekend after that, unfortunately, is a little bit of time. It isn't until May. May 31st to be specific, which is going to be Memorial Day. It happens on a Monday next year. If I were you, I would take the Friday before that off, which is Friday May 28th. Again, that allows you to take a one day weekend, a one day of PTO to a four day weekend for May. This is really good for Portugal cause it's gonna be the shoulder season, right? It's right before everything starts to live up for a Euro summer. Essentially very cheap. Portugal is usually cheap for the most part in general, but especially in May because it's on the shoulder season and it's easy to do on a long weekend. If you wanna do something a little more adventurous and you're not as price conscious, I would probably recommend Greece. Same thing, shoulder season, May. You're probably gonna get a lot of more affordable rates. After that, you're gonna do June 10th. June 10th next to the next year is on a Friday. You're gonna wanna take the Thursday before that off, which is June 17th, obviously. Um, and that turns again one day of PTO into four days. If I were you, I'd probably because of that time of the year, I'd something like a little closer. I think this would really be prime time for Belize, which I absolutely love. Black people are absolutely love there. So I definitely recommend it for my black travelers. It's gonna be quick and it's just easy to really do on a long weekend. Again, outside of that, there's also the Bahamas, very close, very easy to do, very quick. Um, next we start to get into a little more time off, which is great, one of the best holidays of the year to take off is in the entire week of July 4th. This year it's a little interesting cause, uh, we're actually observing it. I'm sorry, next year on July 5th, which is on a Monday. So you're gonna wanna take that Tuesday to Friday off, which turns essentially four days of PTO into nine days of PTO. So you can go a little further in July, which is a great time to travel. Um, naturally I would probably recommend Thailand. It's long enough where you can still hit a couple places or recover. Or outside of that, it is during peak time. But Italy is always gonna be a strong recommendation because I genuinely believe there's no place like an Italian summer.
