Today's payday, so let's budget my paycheck together as a mom and corporate employee that's trying to build wealth. I make over six figures, but spoiler alert, that is not what hits my account. This is everything that comes out before I even get my paycheck. Taxes: $1,079, 401k: $228, HSA: $125, Ins: $142, ESPP: $137. And this is what I'm left with on payday. With my take-home pay, I simply split that into three buckets. That's my needs, wants, and investments. Now, my needs for this pay period is daycare at $980, utilities $150, groceries $500, gas $100, phone $100. Now for my wants for this pay period, we have clothing at $150, entertainment $400, personal care $100, household upgrades $127. Last but not least is my investment bucket and that's my Roth IRA. I contribute $200 a month to this investment and all my other investments happen before my paycheck even hits my account. 401k, ESPP, HSA.
