Hook
There is nothing confusing about their behavior. It is your inability to accept what it means. Sit with that. How many hours have you spent trying to figure somebody out? You're trying to plan the conversation. Asking your friend, what do you think he meant? Building a case for, well, they're just busy, they're going through something or they're just stressed. He's not confusing. You already know what it means. You are negotiating. You're trying to find a version of the story where the thing you saw doesn't mean what it means. Because if you accept what it means, then you have to do something about it. And you're not ready to do something about it yet. So let's stop looking at him and start looking at your mindset. Because underneath every behavior is a mindset. And underneath that mindset is a belief that you probably never examined. The belief sounds something like, oh, if I let this one go, then maybe there won't be another one. Or I don't know, I better hold on to whoever shows up. The belief is doing the negotiating, not you. His behavior was never the mystery. The mystery is the belief underneath the mindset that made you willing to accept it. Find the belief, pull it up by the root and replace it with the truth. And then there will be nothing confusing about his behavior anymore. I'm just saying. Love you.
