That's a them problem. Sometimes you have to recognise that. That's a them problem. Somebody doesn't like you, that's a them problem. Somebody misunderstands you after you've clearly explained yourself, that's a them problem. Somebody is upset because you finally set a boundary, baby. That's a them problem. And here's the mindset shift I want you to get. Everything that happens around you does not require a response from you. We waste so much emotional energy trying to manage other people's feelings. They're upset, so now we're upset. They're disappointed, so now we feel guilty. They don't understand us, so now we're writing a five paragraph explanation trying to convince them. Stop it. Cut it out. You are responsible for your own behaviour, your words, your choices, your actions, your integrity. But you're not responsible for managing another grown person's reaction to them. Now, if you've done something wrong, hey, own it. If you owe someone an apology, give it. That's called maturity. But if you've been respectful, you've communicated clearly, and somebody still chooses to be offended, angry or this disappointed, that's a them problem. One of the healthiest mindset shifts you can make is learning to ask, is this actually my problem to solve? Because sometimes the answer is simply nope. That's a them problem. And that's where you need to leave it. Right there with them. I'm just saying. Love you.
