Did you know that constant complaining rewires your brain? Every time you complain, your brain fires the same neuro pathways. And just like a muscle, the more you use them, the stronger they get. So the more you complain, the easier it becomes until it's your default setting. And here's the interesting part. The more you complain, it wires your brain to look for problems everywhere. And socially, people pick up on your mood and it pushes people away. That means you are going to have fewer good moments, fewer people showing up for you and then life can really start to feel more negative. And not only that, it's not just mental. Every time you complain, cortisol is released in your body. That's your stress hormone. And when that is released, it's supposed to be released when you're in a life-threatening situation. But this cortisol can mess with your sleep patterns, your immune system, your memory and your cardiovascular system. So your brain isn't just reflecting your mood, it's being train by it. So the next time you catch yourself complaining, take a pause because you're not just venting, you're practicing. Choose what you want to get good at. I'm just saying, love you.
