Hook
I'm moving back to Chicago at the end of the year and I think the hardest part is determining where I want to live. Neighborhood wise. Knowing me and like my kind of people and stuff. West Loop it is, right? And I lived in West Loop when I lived there three years ago. But the rent is $1000 more than the same building that I lived in before. $1000 more a month than it was when I lived there. And I was already in my opinion overpaying. I was like, this is like not worth this. So, there are other buildings I like in the area, but the prices are about the same. And it disgusts me. I have a dog and I'm like, do I really want like to live in a shed just to be in West Loop? I'd kill for a loft, like a sick loft in West Loop. Maybe I'll have to put feelers out there for a loft. But then I'm looking at the TikTok like realtor tours in Chicago are posting and I'm like, oh, sweet. For the same price as the tiniest one bed known to man in West Loop, I could get a two bedroom loft in Wicker. But then in Wicker, oh, I don't think I could do that. I don't think I could do that. But then in Wicker, oh, I don't think I could do that. But it's so tempting. And like old, even even Old Town, even Gold Coast, I'm looking and there are these like grand luxurious two beds that are costing the exact same as the tiny one bed in West Loop. I haven't been there in three years. So I don't know. Like I just need to go feel it out because why is this so hard?
