Hit save right now to bake this ultimate sweet treat! 🙌🔥 The Recipe: Air Fryer Apple Cake Preparation Time: 15 mins Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Serves: 8 slices Tools Needed: 18cm springform tin Ingredients: * 750g sharp eating apples, sliced * 120g unsalted butter, softened * 100g caster sugar (plus 2 tbsp extra for topping) * 2 eggs * 120g natural yogurt * 1/2 tsp vanilla extract * 200g plain flour * 1 sachet baking powder (approx. 2 tsp) * 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon * 1 pinch salt Method: 1. Prep the Tin: Line an 18cm springform tin with baking paper and lightly grease the sides. 2. Cream Butter & Sugar: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and 100g caster sugar together for 2–3 minutes until light and creamy. 3. Mix Wet Ingredients: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the natural yogurt, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. 4. Make the Batter: Sift in the plain flour and baking powder, mixing until you have a smooth, even batter. 5. Layer & Air Fry: Gently fold in the apple slices until thoroughly coated. Transfer the batter to the prepared tin and press down firmly to avoid air pockets. Place into the air fryer basket and air fry at 170°C for 50–70 minutes. 6. Cinnamon Topping: 10 minutes before the end of the cooking time, scatter the remaining 2 tbsp caster sugar and 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon evenly over the top of the cake. 7. Cool & Slice: Leave the cake to cool completely in the tin before removing and slicing! Club Tip: Every air fryer heats slightly differently, so check the cake around the 50-minute mark by inserting a skewer into the centre—if it comes out clean, it is done!
