The Recipe: Easy Air Fryer Chocolate Lava Cake Preparation Time: 5 mins Total Time: 17 mins Serves: 2 Ingredients: * 50g dark chocolate chips * 50g unsalted butter (plus extra to coat the ramekins) * 1 whole egg * 1 egg yolk * 50g icing sugar * 30g plain flour * 10g cocoa powder (plus an extra teaspoon to line the ramekins) Method: 1. Prep the Ramekins: Grease two ramekins with a little melted butter, then dust the inside of each with a teaspoon of cocoa powder. Tip out any excess. 2. Melt the Chocolate: Put the butter and chocolate chips in a bowl and microwave for 1 minute. If they are not fully melted, microwave again for 10-20 seconds at a time, then stir until completely smooth and combined. 3. Mix the Batter: Whisk the whole egg, extra egg yolk, and icing sugar together in a separate bowl until pale and fluffy. Stir in the melted chocolate mixture. Sift in the plain flour and cocoa powder to remove any lumps, then gently fold everything together. 4. Air Fry: Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared ramekins. Place them in the air fryer basket and air fry on the bake setting at 180C for 12 minutes. The outsides should be beautifully baked while the inside stays warm and molten. Club Tip: Let them sit for a minute before carefully flipping them onto a plate, or just eat them straight out of the ramekin. Dust with a little icing sugar right before serving for that perfect gourmet bakery look!
