Cold calling your favorite bookstore to see what we should be reading today. I'm call calling a bookstore of Neosho Missouri. It's called Prologue Books, April said I should give them a call. Apparently it's a newer bookstore and the owner is the sweetest and that she loves to talk about books. We got to give her a call right now. Prologue bookstore hey there. My name is Braden. I was actually giving you a call because I make videos about books and I was seeing if you had a couple minutes to answer a couple quick questions for me. Okay, can I first ask, are you the owner? Yes. I am. Amazing. Is there maybe a book that you can think of that you sold recently? The Calamity Club probably. And do you do you have a favorite book or I know that's a hard question. A favorite book of the year so far? The Heartstring Duet and it's by Liv Zander. More of a dark romantasy. She's a grave digger's daughter and she's set out to break a curse. Nice. Is there maybe an author you discovered recently where you were like, where have you been? I can't believe I just discovered you. There's so many, honestly. Having one that I found recently have to be Jennifer Hillier. What kind of books does she write? She does thriller. Is there a book that sticks out like, hey, you should read this one first? Fire Jar of Hearts and then do you recall maybe the book that got you into reading initially? Absolutely have to be The Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice. Nice. And they made a Brad Pitt movie about that, right? Am I crazy? Yeah. Back in the 90s they did, but I actually read the book first. Did you open the bookstore recently?
