Dolly Parton was one of those people who somehow felt like she had always been here. The voice. The hair. The rhinestones. The laugh. The songs our parents knew, that we somehow knew too. But what made Dolly so special was never just the music. She was funny without trying too hard. Kind without needing everyone to know about it. Completely herself in a world that constantly tries to make people into something else. She gave us “Jolene,” “9 to 5,” “Coat of Many Colors,” and one of the most beautiful songs ever written, “I Will Always Love You.” She gave millions of children books through her Imagination Library. And for nearly seven decades, she gave people something that feels increasingly rare: joy. There are celebrities you remember because of what they made. And then there are people who become part of the background of your life. You hear their voice and immediately know it. You see their face and smile. They somehow belong to multiple generations at once. Dolly was one of those people. 80 years on this earth. An unbelievable life. An unbelievable legacy. Rest in peace, Dolly Parton. 🤍 1946–2026 We will always love you. #DollyParton #RIPDollyParton #RestInPeace #CountryMusic #Legend
