Hey. It really is you. I know it’s been a while. I guess I always thought that by the time we saw each other again, I’d have a better answer when you asked me how life was going. Turns out… I don’t. When I was younger, I thought growing up meant eventually figuring everything out. Like one day you’d wake up and suddenly know exactly where you were going, what you were supposed to be doing, and who you were supposed to become. I kept waiting for that day. I thought there was some better version of me somewhere up ahead. Stronger. Smarter. Braver. Someone who didn’t second-guess himself. Someone who always knew which direction to go. So I just kept moving. Another town. Another road. Another adventure. And somewhere along the way, I realized something. That version of me was never waiting at the end of the road. It was always just… me. A little older. A little more tired. Carrying a few more stories than before. Still getting things wrong. Still changing my mind. Still wondering if I chose the right road sometimes. And weirdly, I think I’m finally okay with that. Because when I think back on everything, I barely remember which days I had all the answers. I remember the people who were there while I was trying to find them. The people who walked beside me. The people who believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. The people who made the long roads feel shorter. Some of them are still here. Some of them aren’t. And there are a few I’d give just about anything to sit beside one more time. Maybe that’s why seeing you again means so much. Because after enough years go by, you realize how rare it is to cross paths with someone who remembers an older version of you. Someone who knew you before all the mistakes, detours, goodbyes, and growing up. So if your life didn’t turn out exactly how you pictured it either… That’s okay. Maybe we were never supposed to have everything figured out. Maybe we were just supposed to keep going, meet some good people along the way, love them while they’re here, and collect a few stories worth telling when our paths cross again. And hey… You’re here now. So come sit down. Stay a while. I’ve told you enough about me. Tell me everything I missed. ❤️ #pokemon #ash #ashketchum #nostalgia #millennials
