Toga just launched one of the more interesting brunch menus I’ve tried in Houston lately. From the team behind Neo, Kira and Oru, Toga is Comma Hospitality’s more casual Japanese izakaya concept, and their new weekend brunch takes classic brunch dishes and gives them a Japanese spin. What we tried: * 🐟 Tuna Carpaccio: buttery, delicate tuna with avocado-wasabi mousse and crispy milk bread * 🥪 Tamago Sando: creamy egg filling with that perfectly jammy egg in the center * 🍳 Chicken Katsu Benedict: crispy chicken, poached eggs and hollandaise on an English muffin. One of my favorites * 🧇 Black Sesame Waffle: nutty, earthy, slightly sweet and probably the most unique thing we had.
