$100k debt pay off update

almost 40k this year towards debt and half of it is in interest. my husband and I are paying off $100,000 in debt and we do have a debt update along this journey. I'm constantly having to remind myself that life just is life. the last two months honestly we have not been able to put any additional large payments towards our debt. so I went into Monarch I pulled some reports and we have paid off just under $20,000 in debt this year alone. that is insane and it's very exciting. however this next number made me violently ill. there is a lovely almost $19,000 of interest that have all so been paid. we've already done a balance transfer. we've looked into other options. reality is sometimes you just have to take it day by day and pay high interest debt. pay high interest debt. another card paid off by the end of the year and we'll be able to reevaluate and kind of look at student loans from there. so this is like a big win but also a punch in the gut. we are still on track to pay everything off by mid 2029. and honestly I'm really trying to challenge us to move that date a little bit closer. I would love to be done by early 2029. in reality we have about 80,000 more to go. don't even want to do the exact math on the interest. we'll see you next time for an update. hopefully it's a little bit better than this one.
