This Friday marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks in New York City. Two planes flew into the North and South Towers of the World Trade Center, a third hit the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and a fourth crashed into a field in Pennsylvania. That day, a total of 2,997 people died, 343 of whom were members of the New York City Fire Department trying to save lives. That day, 3,000 children lost a parent. And that day, eight children under the age of 16 lost their lives aboard those flights. Today, we remember those eight children.
