Chaos has descended on UK airports after a technical issue with the country’s air traffic control system caused major disruption. Over 1,500 flights were reportedly cancelled, with thousands of passengers facing delays at airports including Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, and Stansted. Photos have emerged of passengers, some of whom had been left waiting for hours, being given large security trays to sleep on in the airport.
