Pilgrim’s Pride halal chicken is sold at Costco Business Centers, and the company gave $5 million to Trump’s 2025 inauguration fund. Soon after, the Trump USDA withdrew a proposed rule that would have required poultry companies to reduce dangerous salmonella contamination. That is not a proven legal “kickback,” but it sure looks like a corporation bought access and got a policy win while consumers got less protection. Read labels. Know the company. Spend accordingly.
