The one whose boxes are basically hiding in the walk-in freezer of every dive bar, diner and neighborhood restaurant in America. 😂 Now the food-distribution giant is partnering with Michelin Guide events while trying to acquire Restaurant Depot for roughly $29 billion. Because apparently supplying half the fries in America wasn’t enough. The Restaurant Depot deal still needs regulatory approval, but the bigger issue is consolidation. When fewer corporations control more of what restaurants can buy, where they buy it and how much they pay, that eventually reaches all of us. Support your local restaurants.
