If you've ever ordered a Taco Bell quesadilla and wondered what that sauce is, it's their creamy jalapeño sauce. And this is how you make it at home. I spent years reverse engineering Taco Bell's recipes to get these dupes spot on. Because let's be honest, I'm not paying $8 for a quesadilla or 80 cents for a tiny side of this stuff. The creamy jalapeño sauce is tangy, spicy, creamy and literally the only reason their quesadillas are so delicious. Now you can make quesadillas just like Taco Bell at home, for a fraction of the cost. As always, the full recipe is below, enjoyyyy. Ingredients: One 12-ounce jar pickled jalapeño slices (only 7 Tablespoons of puree needed), 1 teaspoon paprika, 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon chili powder, cayenne, salt, and pureed pickled jalapeños. Combine sour cream, mayonnaise, cumin, garlic powder, chili powder, cayenne, salt, and pureed pickled jalapeños. The pickled jalapeños are what make this sauce so tangy and spicy and craveable. This sauce will hold up to 14 days in the fridge in an airtight container. I like storing it in a squeeze bottle, that way I can easily pour it over everything whenever I want. Let me just go ahead and say that the bottled stuff in stores does not taste anything like what's served in the restaurant. The real fans with sophisticated palates know what I mean. That's all there is to making Taco Bell's creamy jalapeño sauce at home. You can check out all of my other dupes on my page, like the chicken quesadilla or the recently discontinued beef crunch burrito. Enjoy!
