HAVING A BOWEL MOVEMENT WITHIN 45 MINUTES OF WAKING EVERY SINGLE DAY. YOU HAVE GUT DYSBIOSIS. YOU NEED TO DRAW SOME ATTENTION TO YOUR GUT, BECAUSE IF IT'S NOT A PROBLEM TODAY, IT WILL BE A PROBLEM IN THE FUTURE. WHAT ARE THE THREE MAJOR DEFICIENCIES THAT CAUSE IMPAIRED BOWEL MOTILITY? ZINC, MAGNESIUM, AND METHYLFOLATE. IF YOU HAVE A DEFICIENCY IN ANY ONE OF THOSE THREE, THE MOTILITY OF THE GUT IS OFF. SO I WOULD BE SUPPLEMENTING WITH MAGNESIUM AND ZINC AT NIGHT, AND I WOULD BE TAKING METHYLFOLATE IN THE MORNING TO SEE IF I CAN RESTORE THE PROPER PACE TO THE GUT.

Your bowel movements are one of the easiest ways to pay attention to your gut health. If you’re regularly constipated or your digestion feels slow, I wouldn’t brush it off. Your body is telling you something. When I’m looking at gut motility, three nutrients I pay attention to are: 1. Magnesium 2. Zinc 3. Methylfolate Deficiencies aren’t the only possible cause of constipation, but they can be part of the bigger picture.
