🇬🇷 EAT MORE GREEK Day 37 - Pastitsio / παστίτσιο… When I think of food I grew up eating in a Greek household, I don’t think people would guess this, but pastitsio is really special to every greek child. Layers of comfort, straight from Greece, it’s a creamy béchamel top, rich meat sauce in the middle and perfectly baked pasta not he bottom, truly the ultimate Greek comfort dish. It was known as the ultimate leftover dish, because you know if it got made for you, then there would be enough the next night and that was something to be very happy about. You don’t have to make it as neat as mine (clock my reckless pouring of the béchamel as a sign you don’t have to), because once baked it just all comes together in such a luxurious manner.
