My wife is 36 weeks pregnant and we are now at the point where technically the baby could come at any week now, which means I need to crunch down and start meal prepping. A lot of people don't know, one of the biggest recommendations to prepare for postpartum is to have a lot of ready-made meals in the freezer, in the fridge ready to go. And what a lot of people don't realize is that the fight doesn't end as soon as your lady gives birth. Postpartum recovery is brutal and having ready-made meals for at least 3 weeks is going to help make it a lot easier. So I'm going to turn this into a series. 8 meals is nowhere near enough especially as I'm going to be making my self meal preps as well so that I can keep up with helping her, you know changing diapers and what not, cleaning up after the baby and is generally taking care of mom as well. We recently bought a bunch of groceries, chicken, beef, pasta, rice, you name it, stuff that's not only going to last a long time in the fridge but also taste good reheated. Today's recipe was Alfredo beef pasta with broccoli. Pasta meal preps with cheese always hits the spot and is usually pretty easy cause most of it can be done in one pot. If you want to make her postpartum a bit easier send this to whoever is the cook in the house that's not the mom, give these recipes a try and prep it for her. Trust me when I say it'll help her more than you know.
