Hook
Okay so by now everybody knows that I quit Dr. Miami. As one of Santina's biggest fans, I think that this is the best and possibly worst move she could have made, and I'll explain. Santina has consistently proven that she is a creative social media genius. She has scaled multiple accounts to hundreds of thousands and even millions of followers. And if you dissect her framework in essentially how she did this, she was really the creative strategist, the director, the producer and editor behind Doctor Miami. And unlike her account where she is the personality for Doctor Miami, he was the personality. And both of them really portrayed a symbiotic relationship and that looked effortless and was extremely entertaining. And I think to most they were the perfect dynamic duo and truly a force to be wrecking with. But there does come a point where other people can see Santina's value and I'm sure that a lot of founders and business owners were trying to grab her and swoop her up. So from a career in growth opportunity, I think that this was probably the best move that Santina could have made. You could just tell she was ready for the next level. Now let's talk about where I think she went wrong. Santina's been working with another local company called Bellows Film Lab and she's coined this account as her baby. But if you look at the framework which she's using, it's completely different than the strategy and framework that was proven to be successful with Doctor Miami. Santina is now taking a more front and center approach and positioning herself as the personality behind the account. And the only way that I feel like that would truly work is if she was the founder of that company. And I understand they could have paid her a shitload of money. But the true growth happens when the founder is willing to put themselves in front of the camera just like Doctor Miami. If I were Santina, I would understand what my strengths are when it comes to the role that I play. And if the founder isn't willing to put themselves in front of the camera like Doctor Miami was, then I don't think that that's the right partnership for her. Nonetheless, I wish her the best of luck. But once you understand what your successful proprietary framework is, it's something that you have to lean into and not sway away from.
