Here are 12 sales cheat codes I wish I knew when I started. Most sales people never even learned these. Number one, don't sell solutions. Sell future memory. Paint a vivid picture of how they're going to feel when they buy. Because the brain buys that outcome. Number two, prospects don't fear spending money. They fear regret. They fear making a mistake. Eliminate the regret and the objection dies. Number three, sounding overly enthusiastic before trust is established triggers resistance. Calm conviction is king. Number four, amateurs, they sell the thing. Whereas pros sell the consequence of staying stuck. Because that's what moves people out of their comfort zone to buy from you. Number five, don't kill objections, reverse engineer them. Don't react, trace them back to the fear behind the mask. Number six, the deepest buying signal you'll ever get are long pauses. The next time you hear a long pause, don't jump in. Let that silence cook. Number seven, every yes must be earned emotionally before it's explained logically. But if you reverse that, you will always lose. Number eight, when somebody tells you to think about it, it can almost always be traced back to something that you missed during your discovery and engagement phase. What that also means is that if you go back and you fill in those gaps, you will stop hearing about it as often. Number nine, the best way to build authority is to ask sharper questions than anybody else. Authority comes from curiosity, not from credentials. No. 10, don't ask them what they want, ask them what they're tolerating. That's where the real sale lives. Number 11, create urgency by collapsing future pain into the present. You're showing them the longer this stays unresolved, the more expensive it gets for them. And no. 12, sell to the identity they want to become, and not the person they are today. Because people buy to become someone or something greater than they are. Sales cheat codes, they're cool, they're fun. But there's no shortcut to earning seven figures a year as a sales rep.
