Most sales people they fight objections. Whereas top salespeople they make objections disappear. And here's how they do it. Firstly, if you're treating objections like they are arguments to win, you are already losing. You are already losing every time that you try to defend, explain or justify. You are feeding that objection power that it didn't have initially. Elite salespeople, they don't overcome objections. They dismantle them. And they do it by following these five rules right here. Rule no. 1, remain defenseless. The moment you become defensive, you lose all frame. Worst of all, the prospect's brain hears that defense as guilt. Do not do that. Do not do that. Rule no. 2, the first objection is rarely the only objection. Most objections, they're just a mask. So when a prospect gives you an objection and you say something that makes sense, like, 'Is that the only thing holding you back?' You'd be shocked at what comes out of their mouth next. For example, when they tell you it's about the price, it's rarely ever about the price, but instead it's about fear. Rule no. 3, isolate without escalating. Now, what does that mean? It means if you try fighting all the objections that are in front of you, you're just gonna be fighting shadows. It's pointless. Instead, you want to laser in on the objection in front of you. For example, saying something like, 'Okay, let's say that we solve that. What else is stopping you from moving forward today?' Now you are in control of the conversation and you're not just chasing smoke. Rule no. 4, objections are emotional, not logical. Not logical. They are not scared of your product. They are scared of making the wrong decision. And rule no. 5, deconstruct the objection. Don't disprove the objection. This is where most salespeople fail. Top salespeople, they don't argue. They unravel the objection. For example, saying something like, 'So you say that now is not the right time. So what would need to change for it to be the right time?' Now there are far better ways to handle that scenario than that example I gave right there. But that's just an example of you are not convincing them. But instead you are guiding them to convince themselves. See the difference? Master these five rules and you will stop reacting to every objection that comes your way. And you will start to control the emotional temperature of every conversation. Remember, objections are not rejection. They are interest in disguise. If you want to learn how to prevent objections before they ever come up next, I will show you the exact questions to ask to make objections disappear in your discovery phase. If you want to see that, follow the Clever Closers channel, like this video and comment objections. My name is Greg. This is Clever Closers. And I will see you guys on the next one.
