I just fired five of my favorite tools and replaced them with these ones. I used to really love Perplexity for its LLM summaries of web results, but I've recently switched over to ChatGPT Pro and their new models along with reasoning and web search. It just there's no reason for me anymore to use Perplexity. I mean, GBT Pro allows you to do cool stuff like create projects with instructions and project files always in there. So I can do cool things like generate scripts and ideas for my video shorts, like these ones. This might be an obvious one, but I gave up VS Code for Cursor Pro. The Pro subscription, there was no turning back. Although I must say I am thinking about trying Claude Code, and I've heard great things about it, so we'll see how that holds up next. JS used to be the framework of choice, but I've moved over to Wasp over the past few years because the speed at which you can develop full stack apps is just unmatched. So gotta go with Wasp there. This isn't really a dev tool, but I gave up Apple Notes for Notion. I used to be a Notion hater because I thought it was bloated, too many features, but I really like, um, their databases and tables and stuff. I keep all my video short ideas in there, um, tons of stuff gets, uh, outlined in draft blog posts and Notion to markdown. So actually really love it. I replaced Claude Sonnet as my LLM of choice for, uh, Gemini 2.5 Pro, but it looks like I'll be going back to Claude Sonnet now with the release of version 4 because it's pretty badass.
