HOT TAKE: AI Can't Always Help You

Hot take. AI won't help you if you don't have a basic knowledge about the stuff you're doing or you don't know what good looks like. The terms such as master SEO overnight or get a full market competitive landscape in a second, those promises or those prompts sometimes are clickbait. These feel like cheat codes - but they work. If you don't understand the basics, you'll end up blindly repeating what AI spits out and that's not insight, that's just noise. So here's a prompt example. Analyze the online presence, strategy, and content of competitor. Break down what works, what doesn't, and give me clear tactics to outperform them - even with a limited budget. Okay, on the surface this prompt sounds great. But the thing is you need to know your company's competitors pretty well and have some basic knowledge to judge if AI bot makes correct assessments. And also, the statement what works and what didn't work, again that's AI's point of view, not yours. You need to be able to judge if AI is making appropriate assessments and sometimes they may not be correct. So AI can give you any BS answers and you'll take it as it is if you have no point of view of your own. And if that's the case, what's the point? You become one of them. That's not cool. And here's another prompt that seems working on the surface but it's not working either. Teach me skill like I only have 24 hours. Focus on the 20% that gives 80% of results. Include only shortcuts, hacks, and high-impact templates. First of all, I create a lot of templates for my clients. I customize my templates for their situations. In a way, any high impact templates tend to be situation based. AI doesn't know your learning habits, doesn't know how you learn fast. It just blindly gives you suggestions and you think you are going to learn 5 times faster. Really?
