Hey, as a marketer you often need to evaluate creative designs, whether it's a pop up banner, website or social media post. How do you provide valuable feedback in terms of the creative concept? Here's a couple tips to share with you. No. 1 is it on brand? If you're working for a big company you have to check the font, colors and styles to make sure that it aligns with your brand guidelines. Consistency is key. No. 2 step back and test visibility. Staying like 4 or 5 feet away, can you easily read and understand the copy? Beautiful design is great but if you cannot read it that's not gonna work. And also the design and the copy should compliment each other, not compete with each other. No. 3 is the message clear for your audience? Would your customers immediately get what you are saying? If not you need to simplify. No. 4 is it easy for your eyes? You need to think it through. The great design should make reading effortless and the key points easy to scan and digest. Lastly do you love it? Yes you need to love it. If something feels off trust your gut and then just refine it. So that's how I evaluate creative concepts and images. I can provide very solid feedback based on these 5 tips. What do you think?
