How do we know when we are leaning too much on AI? Is there a point where it starts to hurt our ability to think and also diminish our creativity? I was doing an AI keynote, someone from the audience asked this very thoughtful question. I love it. Here's my take and I hope it will get you to think about it as well. I have a friend who creates custom AI bots for almost everything he does. Honestly, I think that's leaning way too much on AI. And he loves it, so fine. But here is my personal litmus test. If I'm leaning too much on AI, it's kind of like, you know, social media. If I'm, you know, turn on TikTok every single hour, I'm leaning on TikTok way too much. If I'm opening the copilot and ChatGPT apps too often, I'm leaning on it. Bottom line is, you know, when you cross the line, you just know. Then you have to think about it and very consciously how you're going to scale back. For the second question, when does it kind of like get to the point that it hurt your ability to think and to be creative? Honestly, I'm very afraid of that. I will lose that ability to think and to be creative. The way I deal with it is for anything that's important. For example, my keynote presentation. I don't ask AI to create my keynote presentation. I actually do my own research, create my flow, invent my own jokes. I can tell as a part of the presentation, if you will. I know AI has the capability to create presentations, but I want to do that first draft. I want to do that thinking. I want to be the creative one. So for anything that's important, especially solving problem for my clients, I still want to be on the driver's seat. Maybe I will ask AI, you know, for additional input, but I want to start, I want to initiate. That's how I maintain my ability to think and to be creative. Another thing is, I know a lot of people, they actually ask AI in terms of what they should do for their days. I was like, seriously, guys, that's your job. You need to determine what you want to do for your day. And then some of them even ask AI to do and arrange their schedule. Again, that's your job. You know, why do you want to delegate that? Be on the driver's seat, take care of your own lives, what you want to do on a daily basis. I don't think that should be delegated to AI. What do you think? Let me know.
