5 Weird Facts About the Ferrari F50. I bet you didn't know about the Ferrari F50. The first fun fact has to do with the car's headlights. Now if you ordered your F50 new from the factory in red, you got color matched headlight housings. However, the F50 was offered in a variance of different colors including black and yellow and gray, but all those cars came with exposed carbon fiber headlight housings and you only got the painted ones if it was red. The second fun fact is that this was Ferrari's first top of the line supercar that could be both a hardtop and a convertible in one car. This car is currently in the barchetta open top body style. You can actually remove these roll bars and this piece of bodywork to add a hardtop cover on here, but it does take a couple of hours so you need a service appointment to actually get it done. The third fun fact has to do with this little light right here. Now if we open the door, you can see that it turns on and acts as a dome light. But if we reach inside, you can actually see that it is fully removable and can work as a portable flashlight too, but while it's seated right here it works as your dome light. For the fourth fun fact we have to get inside. Up top you will find this seemingly oddly shaped rearview mirror, but it's actually shaped that way so that you don't just see this bit of the roll bar right here behind you and you actually get this view straight out the back. And for the last fun fact we have to open the hood, which is done with this latch right here. And once we have that open, not only can you see all the exposed carbon fiber and that you have storage right here and underneath the hood, but also if you undo this little panel here, you have a little storage pocket for your tools. And on the other side you can see there is a fitting for the center lock wheel attachment as well as your spare fuses and bulbs over here, plus your fuse box and an included from factory tire inflator.
