The 40th anniversary was a special edition of the Murcielago that was offered for the 40th anniversary of Lamborghini, and they all came in this exact same spec. However, the unique thing about this spec is the paint that you see on the car. This color is called Verde Artemis and it is a special tri-coat jade green pearl paint that was only offered on the 40th anniversary cars and it gives a striking presence to the Murcielago. The second fun fact about these cars is that although it was for the 40th anniversary, they actually made 50 cars for the entire production run for the world, with this car being No. 24, and it was the factory press car, so it was the car that was used to launch the 40th anniversary editions. Now a third fact that was special to these cars is that they came with a lot of extra exterior carbon fiber, as well as these great painted wheels and silver brake calipers and the newly updated Lamborghini bull logo, as well as special badging denoting the special edition of the Murcielago. For the fourth fun fact, it's a very unique detail that we have to see on the inside of the car. So we open up the door just like this, and if we look at the driver side seat leather, you can see it has a perforated pattern throughout, and that perforated leather is actually extended onto the driver's dash as well as the door jamb. But if we open up the passenger side door and we look at the passenger side seat, you can see it's actually a smooth leather pattern, with it being smooth on the passenger side dash and the passenger side door jamb as well, meaning that it's an asymmetrical interior with perforated leather on the driver's side and smooth leather on the passenger side. And the last fun fact about the 40th anniversary Murcielagos is that although they were a 15,000 euro premium when they were new over other Murcielagos, nowadays on the secondary collector market, the 40th anniversary Murcielagos bring a $200-$300,000 premium over other similarly specced Murcielagos of the same time. So that 15,000 euro premium back in the day would have netted you a massive return if you had just bought the 40th anniversary from the get go.
