Here are five things I bet you didn't know about the Ferrari F40 LM. Now if you don't know the F40 LM was the track only variant of the Ferrari F40 and with everything turned up to 11 to be one of the wildest cars Ferrari has ever made. But the first thing you'll see on it that's different than a regular F40 is that you'll see it has a huge front splitter on the front end for additional aero and downforce. Plus extra NACA ducts and the fun fact being that while the F40 has pop up headlights the F40 LMs have these closed static headlights. The second fun fact you'll find on the F40 LM is that if you look right here on the rear you'll see a little air intake jack. That's because the car has an air jack system where if you plug in compressed air struts will shoot down from the car lifting the whole car up making it easier to swap out tires or service the car while at the racetrack. The third fun fact is that if you look at the car you'll see that there are no roll down windows like there are on the standard F40s but instead it has these Lexan sliding windows. And since there's no air conditioning in the car you'll see the only way you can get some interior air is through this little vent right here because more often than not you're going to have this closed while you're actually on the track. And for the fourth fun fact, say you wanted to start up your F40 LM, well you might need the key. Well actually, it's a race car so there is no key on this. All you need to start it up is actually this battery cut off switch right here and your ignition switch and the car will actually fire, so it might be one of the easiest cars ever to steal. Now another fun fact is that there are no door handles in this car similar to a standard F40, it just has these little drawstrings right here and everything in this car is in the name of saving weight, especially in the interior where everything is completely stripped out with your transmission linkage totally exposed, no floor mats and everything out in the open because this is pure blooded race car. And the last fun fact would be that typically this is where you'd fill up a normal F40 but you'll see it's actually screwed down and this does not open. So if you want to put fuel in your car, what do you do? Well actually, if you come over to this side, you'll see that it has fast fuel caps over here so that you can get as much fuel as possible into it as quickly as possible while on the racetrack. You're not going to a normal gas pump, this is race fuel only!
