One of my many gay takes on tech is that so much of the tech and mythos around founders being quirked up eccentric geniuses is just cause it was a bunch of straight guys perceiving other slightly weirder straight guys.

Walter Isaacson is furiously scribbling chapters about Steve Jobs eating only fruit for weeks at a time, like big whoop, I did that too when I had an ED in high school. Jeff Bezos is obsessed with writing and making everyone read his 10 page memos, so is every non-binary teenager on Fandom Tumblr. I'm just saying like I've met so many gay and trans people that are like 10 times more eccentric than this in college. If people think not wearing deodorant and keeping long fingernails is some quirked up mad tech genius trait, every trans girl writing Rust in her parents basement would like to have a word.
